Outstanding breakfast find We stayed in a nearby hotel and decided to go for a wander after the hotel breakfast looked a bit iffy. What a fantastic decision! We stumbled upon Niwa Yakitori and were so glad we did. The service was quick and attentive, and the breakfast was amazing—something genuinely different from the usual morning offerings. I had the Rising Sun, and my partner had the Kimchi buttered mushrooms; both were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Absolutely spot on and well worth a visit.

Anastasia was so lovely and made my birthday meal so special. She was extremely attentive as well as her colleague who told us all about the food we were being served during our Omakase experience. I enjoyed the food and the dessert and the atmosphere was perfect!

I don't understand why this place isn't packed to the rafters every weekend! The food, the service and the place itself are exceptional. Went for the omasake menu and had a feast of yakitori dishes with accompanying sake flight. Each dish was unique, beautifully prepared and delicious. Absolutely stuffed by the end. Well worth the splurge. Go - if you don't you're missing out on something special.

We ordered the omakase (58 each) and a single sake flight (18). The omakase was 15 items from the menu, including vegetable and chicken skewers, rice and miso soup. The best thing we had was the miso soup, everything else was either under seasoned or not seasoned at all. There was very little or no char on anything, completely missing the point of yakitori. Many of the chicken skewers w... read more
