I can't believe that the LaFontaine family stands behind this policy, the lady in service actually said that the LaFontaine family policy is that you must drop your car off a week in advance & that will hold your spot for it to be Looked at because they are in such demand. I actually asked it several different ways to be sure that's what she meant & she affirmed it every time. I had an excellent experience at LaFontaine Nissan in Troy, and the staff exceeded my expectations! Adam & his staff treated my truck like it was their own, and the work they performed was both top notch as well as reasonably priced. They even had time to perform a safety (software related) update to my back up camera system!
I took my car because I needed documentation for my insurance, as the engine and battery warning lights had turned on. I clearly explained the situation from the beginning, but the service was very poor. I was told it would be ready by Thursday and that I would receive a call, which never happened. I had to follow up multiple times just to get any information. When I finally picked up my vehicle, no repairs had been done and I was not provided with the documentation I needed. Do not ever use the service center. Their prices are more than twice as much as what you would pay in an independent service shop. I went in there with a low tire pressure among other things. When they gave me the car back the tire pressure monitor on that tire was no longer functioning. They tried to explain to me that despite the fact that it was working when I went in there and not working when they gave the car back to me that I would have to pay close to $400 to replace the tire pressure monitor.
