Understand that all class A dealers only make money on repairs. My granddaughter went to this dealership because her car was having trouble starting. James Hayes used a STORED code NOT an active code to tell her she needed a new transmission. She is young. He took advantage of her. Nothing is wrong with her transmission. Shame on you James! Any mechanic knows the difference between a stored code and an active code. Tons of codes could have been tripped over the starting issue. It’s disgusting how shady a business can be. I’m so disappointed in Nissan of Bradenton for trying to take advantage of customers. I went in this morning with a broken rearview mirror. I was quoted $540 and told I had to replace the entire windshield because the mirror comes with the windshield. I left and went to Safelite. The Safelite worker showed me that I could pop off the broken part from my windshield and just purchase a new mirror. Ended up buying a new mirror for $25 at an auto parts store and installed it within 2 minutes.
I really do try and say good things about the places I review, but I have never left somewhere feeling so undervalued as a customer. Let me give some context. My family has been going to Nissan Service shops for almost a decade now, specifically at the Crown Nissan in St. Petersburg. Being in college out of town, I gave the Nissan of Bradenton Service Center a try since it was closer and I didn’t want to use any more gas or drive any more miles than I absolutely needed to.
