I hope this is not the case but I had to have a short term disability claim filed through my former employer and that was at least a month ago. I have not heard any positive news nor received any payments. The representative that filed my claim said that “ he was working with the insurance broker to see how long it normally takes nippon to respond. I haven’t gotten a call back yet. This company is not true to the words, different employees give you different answers in the short term disability department. I was told as long as I had my child AFTER i signed up that i would be approved. but due to pre-existing condtitions i was denied. My employer didnt sign us up untill the beginning of the year(which is not my fault). Then I was sent 2 different lettes in the mail stating they needed diff3 info from the first. I was not fair judgment and they do not uphold there end of the deal. BAD COMPANY...RUN!!
