Always good , love it.
The menu focused on jerk flavors, with other seasonings. I had Lividity, a salad with jerk tofu on mixed greens, with a citrus dressing. This came with some nanny bread. The food was AWESOME! They also have chicken, tuna and pork. It was literally the best meal I have had in a restaurant in quite some time. The 4 stars for atmosphere is due to it being loud with people talking to the point my dinner partner and I had to lean in to hear each other. If you are in to this kind of food, I highly recommend.
Everything I had here was oh-my-god good. The garlic tahini dressing, I wanted to drink it. There was a banana something chutney that was so well balanced and flavorful, and the salmon curry- one of the top five things I've ever eaten. The veggies were done perfectly, the sauce was delicious, the bean sprouts a perfect cool crunchy compliment to the warm and soft. What chef works here?? Outstanding.
Great staff. Great food with a a wide variety to choose from. They are amenable to substituting proteins for those that don't eat meat or fish and they adjust the cost. Reasonable prices. Atmosphere is relaxed. Parking is limited so you will probably need to look for a pay parking lot. This is my favorite Nine Mile.
