The place and area is cute. But they have horrible parking. As well as they take forever and are very slow. I ordered a breakfast sandwich at 10:10 am and they were out of the rolls. I got an English muffin instead and didnt get my food until 10:40. They also have no almond milk, or wiped cream. Although the food was good it was not worth a 30 min wait it was just a sandwich.
Estimated wait time for my one sandwich was 25 minutes. I waited 45, and it was barely crowded. The man at the counter was rude and informed my friend and I that they did not serve whipped cream, did not have almond milk, and were out of kaiser rolls. It was 10am, mind you. The location is perfectly situated in the heart of beautiful New Preston village, close to Lake Waramaug and fantastic hiking trails in the Litchfield Hills. The food is always delicious! Truly yummy and selections for everyone. All of those well-earned 5 star mentions don't hold a candle to the very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! We arrived just after 11 a.m. on a Friday planning to order breakfast. Unfortunately, we were abruptly informed that breakfast had ended at 11 — not by the kind young woman taking our order, but by the man hovering behind her, who cut us off mid-order. It would be helpful if the breakfast cutoff time was clearly listed on the menu or online, as we weren’t aware of it beforehand.
