I went with my husband to see Dr. Rao for the first time today at 8:30 AM. He is new with Kaiser. He was very pleased with the attention Dr. Rao gave him. He gave Dr. Rao his stamp of approval. Dr. Rao immediately made the referral for my husband to see the specialist and had his procedure scheduled. Thank you Dr. Rao for your immediate attention to my husband's (also mine) well-being. I absolutely do not recommend Dr Rao. He was my husband's PCP for approximately 5 years, and my husband would ask for referrals for an ENT over and over again. My husband even told him that he suspected he may have cancer. Dr Rao would ignore his concern continually pushback thus recieving the bare minimum in his "preventative care." It was a known fact my husband has had chronic acid reflux for many years, and all Dr Rao would do is tell him to take his antacids, and occasionally throw him an Rx of antibiotics. Horrible - don't waste you time. No bedside manner. Went in with Vertigo symptoms over 3 days. He said they don't know what it is and there are no tests. When I pressed with my concerns about whether it could be Menier's or a brain tumor, he simply said said, "No, it's not. "When I asked how he knew that, he dismissed me saying you would have hearing loss. IF HE BOTHERED TO CHECK MY CHART OR ASK ME, I do have a hearing loss and I told him so.
