I've trained in many other dojos and have never felt more acceptance, camaraderie, community engagement, humor, and mutual respect (based on being a solid person rather than on BJJ experience, physical talent, skill, or competition). They offer Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, yoga, circuit training, muay thai, wrestling, self defense, boxing, and more. Great and inclusive bjj/martial arts school! I train mainly at Garth Taylor Jiu Jitsu bc it is closer to me, but I love stopping by Caren’s school when I’m in the area or for special events like this holiday party. I feel totally at home here as a queer person and although I’ve trained for several years it seems very beginner-friendly as well!
