I picked this hotel because it is literally 3 minutes walk to the St Albans train station. It was so easy for us to commute to and from the city. For the price we paid, the accommodation was great. The room is clean. It had all the basics. Water, tea and coffee were all free of charge. The only downside is there is no elevator which would've came in handy as we had luggages to carry. We stay at Nightcap Hotels all the time because we like the consistency of the rooms, facilities and service. The St Albans hotel Nightcap really needs some attention. The window was very high up, and not able to be opened. Very noisy A/C (which is needed due to no fresh air). Terrible shower, bathroom very basic. Not even a saucer or a small plate. Dirty glasses in the fridge. No PowerPoints near the bed. We won't stay again.
My mom stays here for weeks at a time when visiting family. She's older and finds the hotel clean, safe, quiet, and convenient. That's why she keeps on coming back! We had a miscommunication/mishap with our reservation (our fault) and the managers were quick to respond and very understanding and patient with us. Would recommend!
After paying online for a room for my driver who drove from Sydney to Melbourne and arrived at 10pm..they refused his personal card for bond and then refused the same company card used for booking for the bond I was hung up on once then when my driver got them back on the phone I was told I should have booked elsewhere...as a business we have used nightcap many many times.. not anymore since my driver has now been forced to sleep in his truck after paying for a room and him driving from Sydney to Melbourne...this was booked ... read more
