Neiman Foods is responsible for building the first supermarket in Quincy, Ill., in 1940. In 1917, Ferd Niemann Sr. and Steve Niemann opened their first grocery store. By 1930, they had 10 corner grocery stores and a thriving wholesale business. In 1969, the company started to phase out of its wholesale business and began to concentrate on retail. The county market in Louisiana MO is selling expired BABY FORMULA! I'm really glad my 2 month old didn't get sick! My husband pointed it out, manager looked at it and just walked away without a word.....says a lot about the company...
I worked here as did my fiance about an hour ago where they fired her because it is super hard to find a babysitter. Pretty ridiculous. We are now out of jobs living in our apartment with a 9 month old. But who cares right as long as neiman foods Inc gets their money.
I went to the County Market at 331 E Stoughton, Champaign. I got peaches (4 pack of DelMonte) on sale with a coupon. The coupon had a picture of the exact item I was purchasing, but the cashier said it wasn't to be used on what I was buying. I took it off of my order and went back to the shelf where I got the peaches and the coupons were placed directly under the item I was buying AND the picture of the exact product was on the coupon. Hello, I am a regular shopper at the county market in Monmouth Illinois. I get quite a few items and sometimes take my daughter to enjoy chicken strips after school. She is 7 and very impressionable as all children are and has learn we to ask for things at a counter with little to no help. The absolute worst place I have ever worked! Manager Don Taylor in Mattoon worst boss ever!! How do you work for someone u can't even trust? Working hard and doing it well earns no merits with him, but suck ups and tattle-tales become his right hand girl. He's a huge liar!! while the store is very clean and the selection is fair, not as good as allot of the bigger grocery stores in town, the prices are extremly high when compared to the other stores in town, and the deli food is not very good. just a dissappointment overall. I would say it is not the employees fault as they were all very nice and tried to be helpful. but top management or owners by the desisions at the top affectting the store itself
