Follow up from original post. Becoz Dr. Akers waited & would not do the culture on my badly infected diabetic ulcer in a timely manor my foot is now worse & I have Osteomyelitis with (necrotic bone) that has to be removed from my smallest toe or the toe will be removed all together, which is more likely. I went on my first visit with her while my foot was so infected & had every outward sign that it was & she would not do a culture & insisted it was not infected. Terrible, unprofessional to say the least! Didn't take my diabetic ulcer that was badly infected serious. Begged to have a culture done but kept telling me it was not infected when it clearly was & having every outward sign it was! Finally, she agreed to do a culture & results came back it was seriously infected. Look at photo & tell me this is not infected! It wouldn't take a professional to see that it is infected.
