I used to live at the Plankton from 2012-2014. These were my pre-transition years, so I appeared female. I was attending UB School of Social Work at the time, so the cost of room and board was worth it. At first, things were OK. We shared resources. Had weekly meetings. Ate dinner together. It was nice. Over time, though, people's true colors begin to show. I learned that intellectual elitism was equated to one's worthiness of respect and humanity. Snobby and cliquey members with too picky standards for potential new members. Very judgemental and turn people away if they do not fit their perfect hive mind. Not a very sustainable attitude to have if they truly want growth or to exist at all in coming years.
This place is the best ! Great people
