We’ve been coming to Mendocino for 16 years, and Nicholson House is hands down the nicest hotel we’ve stayed in. We loved the quality of the rooms and the attention to detail; everything was done to an exceptionally high standard. We also enjoyed having coffee in the mornings next door at The Waiting Room. The location was superb—you can park your car and easily walk anywhere in the town of Mendocino.
Nicholson House + Beaujolais next door = perfection. It is a special place. Great vibe. Beautiful decor. Beaujolais food is eclectic. Chef Julian is so talented and humble. Service is off the charts. I highly recommend it. Great service. Staff is happy and caring. If you want to get pampered and even spoiled while also getting the sense of local culture, this is the place. I can't recommend it high enough....
I stayed here for a getaway with my mom and dog in one of the pet friendly suites. It was literally perfection. From the welcome drink and Madelines to the heated bathroom floor to the plush towels and bedding to the ocean view right outside our window or feeling like we had a private yard to sit in adirondack chairs and drink coffee to free delicious lattes and pastries in The Waiting Room to walking steps to incredible locally sourced restaurants…everything felt like the most special moment. Thank you!
