Good atmosphere, good locals and just generally a good place to have beers and drink out. While you're near a river, or you can pull up in a boat and it's not far from the hotel, < 50 m from Nicholson river. The caravan park next door in a bottle shop attached to the pub.
We have been going to Nickolson hotel since 1987. Had a good experience last Feb also. But on sat 12th July 2025 had to wait 1 hr 20 mins for our meal. We asked at the counter that an hr was up waiting for the meal and got told we are very busy. Maybe we could have been warned when we ordered. The meal was good but 1 hr 20 mins is too long to wait,maybe understaffed. We nearly went back and asked for our money to be refunded after an hr wait. Loved the food. Chinese one night which was very nice and second night chicken parmas. Food and service was great. We will be back again.
