WOULD BE ZERO STARS. The experience we just had was HORRENDOUS. The first and biggest lot was “closed” which was the lot that had nice tagged trees. We were then forced to walk half a mile to the “best lot” with the “8-10 foot beautiful trees” and there were maybe 5 blue tagged trees that looked like they had been through it. We then proceeded to walk the entire way back with absolutely nothing because not one single tagged tree they had was worth more than 20$. We have been going to Nichols Tree Farm every year for 20 years and it was always a festive experience. Last year it really changed but we were hoping it was a one off. This year proved otherwise. All the nicest trees had no ribbons on them, which means they were not for sale. So we were left picking from the less desirable options. On top of that, all the trees near the parking lot were off limits , so we ended up walking almost half a mile just to find trees we were actually allowed to purchase. Went with our own saw, so didn’t go to the place to pick up a saw which is where there was a sign that apparently explained you can only cut tagged trees. We thought tagged trees were already sold. Went to pay and got lectured for not reading the sign we never saw and got charged $95 for cutting down “next year’s tree.”
