Review # 2 - (two years later.) On a Friday I called Nichols Auto Repair and talked to James. My little Miata had stalled while running errands. It was towed to their shop in Wheatridge and in no time James called back w/ a diagnosis. It was a bad alternator and battery. I found the shop at random they took me in right away to change a starter price was a little pricey but needed to be done I'm too old to do it myself the guy that build me out I considered to be a little bit rude but the guy that took me in he was a real gentleman kind and caring. Took a truck here for a pre purchase inspection and was told to return in 1.5 hours to pick it up and receive report. I sat at Starbucks across the street for 1.5 hours and returned to find the truck in the exact same spot I left it. They never even started and were more interested in playing with hot wheels in the connected collectibles store. Complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional. Do not waste your time with this shop.
If you’re looking for a fair and honest mechanic, then Nichols auto is the place. Great price on oil changes and very reasonable price on bigger fixes. They don’t try to swindle you, there’s no fear tactic to get you to spend more, just the honest truth at a decent price. This is the second time I’ve taken my car to them for a pricey issue and it’s the second time I’m overly impressed with their work and competitive prices. James is friendly and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor and give them a call, you’ll be glad you did!
