HSS has always been a very good place for me and my wife. Dr. Sama has been very helpful to me and is a very caring and supportive doctor.
I recently had surgery performed by Dr. Nicholas Sama of HSS. I can’t say enough good things about him or the care I received from his medical team especially Joe Foldessy. Dr. Sama is not only an amazing surgeon but is extremely kind and compassionate which means the world to someone who is in pain and frightened by an upcoming surgery and recovery. Dr. Sama is an amazing doctor! He treated my elderly mother’s arm without surgery which was the right choice for her. He was patient and kind and explained everything - would most surely recommend!
Dr. Sama treated my mom(in her early nineties) over a year ago after a fall resulting in a broken femur. His skill as a surgeon and caring listener was outstanding. He immediately had us at ease in the ER and with the surgery a few days later. His post-op care was also excellent. We felt blessed by God to have the best doctor and such a great outcome! She’s recovered nicely and remans very active albeit with a walker now.
