My family was out of town on vacation, 4 hours away from home, when my 8 year old daughter developed an appendicitis requiring an appendectomy. Being out of town and not knowing any physicians in the area, we were apprehensive about the care of our daughter. Fortunately, Dr. Poulos was the pediatric surgeon who was assigned to perform the appendectomy on our daughter. He had a great bedside manner, calm, confident and very reassuring.
