He is my 12 yr old grandson's Endocrinologist So friendly. Spends so much time with my grandson. He was able to get his Thyroid numbers where they should be when 3 others could not!
I started with Dr. Mezitis 2000. When my internal physical did not catch my sugar had been high. I had mention it to him he said aren’t you taken cortisone shots I said only two for sciatica nerve pain. Should if order A1C?? In a week I end up in hospital with a sugar if 777. Lancaster hospital I was in UCU all night trying to stable me. Thinking I would code struck etc. they gave me medications very slowly all night long. Health care in SE Ohio is some of the lowest quality I have experienced, particularly below average is OhioHealth. Dr. Mezitis staff was unhelpful and short. I would recommend seeking healthcare in Lancaster or Columbus.
A doctor's bedside manner is important to me and Dr. Mezitis has an exemplary bedside manner; he was friendly and had a good sense of humor. Preparedness is also very important to me. Dr. Mezitis was prepared to see me for my appointment having reviewed my lastest test results prior to seeing me. Dr. Mezitis took the time to explain the importance of a healthy balanced diet.
