After a previous spinal fusion left me with more problems & pain than I'd experienced before surgery, I sought answers. Dr. Ferraro was the only neurosurgeon who could explain exactly what happened and why I was hurting. He is incredibly honest and prioritizes conservative treatment over jumping straight to surgery. I had an acoustic neuroma removed in 2021 at Baylor Grapevine. I was following up and I went back to follow up in 2023 and was dumped as a patient because Dr Ferraro had left and no one knew where he had gone. I was not referred to anyone and the physicians in that practice could not see me. My mri from late 2021 and late 2022 were not ever entered into my records. I had to hunt them down. I would not recommend because you might get dumped too.

I had ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) surgery 3 weeks ago. My recovery is going better than I expected. I think the recovery is going so well because of Dr. Ferraro surgical skills and the analysis of my condition. Dr. Ferraro went an extra mile on his analysis of my condition by ordering additional images of my neck and his thought process. The other surgeon I considered for the procedure did not. EXCELLENT neurosurgeon! Dr. Ferraro took my case when three others did not after a thorough exam, audit of past procedures and review of medical records. He wanted to ensure that I could benefit surgery, in which I did. I cannot convey how much I feel better already. He was always available for questions and any paperwork I needed. His office is both kind and compassionate. What I am most grateful for is the sound guidance that is conservative and what is best for my profile. I cannot recommend Dr. Ferrero enough. Thank you!
