Dismissed me and my concerns with my third brain tumor. Had a impatient attitude and felt like I was waiting his time. Then he asked why I wasn't seeing a different doctor instead of him. Very unprofessional and obnoxious. 100% would not give him a 1 star.
Dr. Bambakidis seemed great. Told me everything I wanted to hear. Unfortunately I chose the wrong surgeon. I had 5 strokes in surgery. Sure, there’s a 1-1.9 % chance of having 1…not 5. And that’s a very small chance. Full disclosure I had a CVM that Hemmoraged…went to see Bambakitas. Said no problem looks simple to do…after seeing my scans. Set a date for surgery. Great surgeon and terrific colleague/leader. Highly recommend for neurology and neurosurgery care.
Back in April I was diagnosed with a benign, but very large brain tumor and the first hospital I called was not able to get me in until September of this year. I called UH and got an appointment with Dr. Bambakidis the next week. He is a very talented neurosurgeon and my surgery was perfect. Sure, he doesn't have the best bedside manner, but if you choose him, you are seeing one of the best surgeons and that is all that matters in the end.
