Before you enter the clinic you see a sign "this building is filled with compassionate, hard working and intelligent people". I'm not disputing that they work hard or that the vets have intelligence. My problem is with the way the whole entire clinic is run. At the front desk you have people that don't seem to care, or lack the knowledge, especially if you have an end of life emergency. The "compassionate" part they claim the building is filled with is an absolute lie. We had to rush our dog that had already been there twice... read more

Brought in my cat who was severely anemic, and needed a blood transfusion, which needs a veterinarian's referral. To this request, Dr. Lawton refused, and said something along the lines of "it wouldn't be a good use of resources". Yet, there are lots of potential donor cats, including my cat's daughter. I need to leave a review after yesterday. My cat suddenly passed away I called them to (very desperately) come here to take my cat. Instead they said I can take him there (all the way from Welland to Thorold) AND pay $100 to have him cremated. Instead I had a ceremony in my backyard and buried him there. Niagara needs a service that can come pick up your cats. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through yesterday. I had to carry his deceased body all across town.

Doctor Lawton and the rest of the staff helped give my beloved gerbil a very peaceful passing and were so wonderful. My elderly gerbil was in really bad shape, I wasn’t sure if they would take a gerbil but they said I could bring him right away. Dr Lawton explained every step of the process with empathy, she put him in my lap on a blanket and let me hold him until the end. It’s always awful putting a pet to sleep but the staff here really made it the most peaceful experience possible and I’m so grateful to them for that.
