The staff at Niagara Gardens are angels. My Mom has been here for several years. Staff are compassionate and thoughtful. They treat her with respect and dignity. She likes the food and her surroundings. What more could you ask of a care home? I would recommend Niagara Gardens to anyone.
I would not recommend this LTC home. My mother was a resident in a transitional bed waiting for her forever home. The home is falling apart, needs repairs, patio furniture is broken and old so can sit with family member outside, quantity is food bare minimum (1 slice of bread cut in half for a sandwich) witnessed residents eating food from other plates when they have finished eating. Housekeeping is a bare minimum. Staff is ineffectual bare minimum of attendance to residents with the exception of Tammy (she was very caring).... read more
Our father was a resident in the Alzheimer’s wing from Feb 2016 to June 2016 when he passed. I cannot offer one negative experience during his time there. When he was starting to transition at the end, we were offered a bed in his room and three meals a day to fortify us for the inevitable. The personal attention my dad received from the nursing, admin and maintenance staff got us through those hard days. My mom resided in this home for over 10 years. Sheila is an angel her compassion for the residents is no short of amazing. Eva is following exactly in those foot steps. The nurses on staff are amazing but my favorite 2 are Izzy and Connie. Who both take the care part of their job very seriously. I loved knowing that my mom (who has epilepsy among other issues) never felt like a burden but more of an extended family member. Highly recommend to anyone needing a place for their parents.
