The cemetery is a disgrace. I was there Memorial weekend. No employees to get grave information. Head stones are overgrown with dirt and grass and sinking into the ground. Many can not even be read or seen. People bring they're own weed eaters and tools to take care of they're loved ones graves. This was my first visit since 1989. I have several family members there. Was able to finally locate my mother, father, grandfather and infant son but could not find my grandmother. No online records, etc. Many people wondering around... read more
Office staff shows no compassion for bereaved families. Site is a swamp. They'll take the dirt from your loved ones grave when opened and use it to fill other deep pitted holes on the premises. Was told a granite plac would cost 400. When I went to order it the woman in the office rudely stated they don't allow them any longer. Complete lack of compassion for families. They should be taken over by the state for mismanagement.
It took a while, but we had a lovely grave marker added to my sister's grave. Maintained well. I just wish they had a web site that listed all people buried in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery. Can't find my sister Linda Reagle on their list of people buried there.
