Their negligent treatment of my 80 year old father lead to his death ~2 months later. Those 2 months he never came home was in the hospital then rehab then hospital then hospice till he passed away. Who in their right mind would do 4 bone marrow attempts on a 80 year old man with low platelets in one sitting and not stop to think am I doing the right thing.
For those assisting a family member with appointments here be prepared to take a day off of work every single time. This office is ALWAYS running behind to the point it's ridiculous and frankly disrespectful to the patients. The front office told me that the doctors purposely double or triple book appointments. Absolutely ridiculous and feels like the doctors want that insurance money. We were assigned to Dr Gena Volas-Redd and it has not been a pleasant experience from the start. Great Doctors and Staff.
Dr Gena Volas-Redd is an amazing oncologist and person. She really cares about her patients and so does her entire staff. They are the best people at GCS.
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Garrot and the entire team at Georgia Cancer Specialists. From the moment I was diagnosed in June 2024, they provided exceptional care, compassion, and expertise every step of the way. Dr. Garrot is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also takes the time to listen, explain, and reassure—something that makes a huge difference when facing a cancer diagnosis. And I’m happy to say I’m now in remission thanks to Almighty God!
