In my opinion performed a second medically unnecessary endoscopy charging 9x the cost of my first one from another GI. No closer to getting treatment for original diagnosis due to unnecessary surgery and tests. In my opinion, doctor showed lack of patience or active listening to patients concerns.
I, too had the same experience as Karina. This was 5 years ago, and my TIF procedure resulted in Vagus Nerve Damage. I get debilitating “episodes” after I eat. In one of my folllow up appointments, when I mentioned what was happening, she became very defensive, saying she didn’t touch my stomach, just my esophagus…aren’t they attached?? Great doctor! Repaired my husband’s esophageal flap and two hernias. He no longer has to take any medication for acid reflux or worry about having Barrett’s Esophagus. He suffered with both of these conditions for over a decade.
Same experience as Karina. Very unprofessional and mentioned weight loss and to not workout to help my GERD. Agree with everything Karina said. Not helpful and quite confusing. Will go to someone else to evaluate my GERD.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Phuong T. Nguyen. This was my second visit with her, and both times were frustrating and unhelpful. Despite being told to arrive on time, I was 20 minutes early for my appointment, yet she showed up 30 minutes late without any explanation or apology. During the appointment, she made little sense when explaining things, often leaving me feeling belittled and confused.
