My van wouldn't always start properly (intermittent). They told me it was the starter motor. I questioned if it truly is because sometimes the car would crank on and sometimes it would just crank and sometimes it didn't even crank. They said "that's because it's the solenoid in the starter motor". Purchased starter motor for $280 under their advice, labour $330. Total cost: $610.
