Just like everyone else, I have been trying to reach Nexus about my refund since the early stages of COVID-19. However, they have been dodging me. They ignored my last email about refunding my deposit on my Italy trip that they cancelled because not enough people signed up. Our trip to China was booked with Nexus Holiday and have to be in March 2020. Because of COVID-19 it was reschedule to November 05 2020. Today is October 02 and we still not have any information of the upcoming trip. No respond from the company. I have been emailing since July 2020 and receive an automated response that they will be in touch when they reopen. We are group of 4 people. Should we all people open legal case against Nexus Holiday to get us money back? They have $7000 of our money.
Has anyone heard back from Nexus? I have been emailing since March and receive an automated response that they will be in touch when they reopen. They took $2,000 in funds and only provided me the Visa. The trip was never actually booked. I want my funds back.
I paid $600.00 for April 2020 Russia Trip. Nexus Holidays canceled the trip due to not enough participants. They should refund the money in March. I talked to Eric in their Chicago Office. He referred me to MarcZ in New York office. I emailed Marc on May 13. He never responded. I emailed them on June 12 and received a automatic response stating that the office is closed until June 13. I want my money back.
Nexus Holidays, the Chicago Office, took our deposit money for a trip to Italy. They were holding the funds for a private tour and were to disperse funds when required. With Covid 19 the trip was cancelled before any funds were dispersed. They are holding approximately $69,000 of our groups money and refusing to return it.... They do not respond to e-mails, phone calls, anything. They have stolen the groups money. We are planning on starting a campaign of the truth to expose Nexus, until we get the refund of our deposit..
I recently went on a China tour with Nexus Holidays, and I had pre-paid for two excursions prior to the tour. During the tour, the two excursions were provided to all people on the tour, free of charge. Upon returning to the US, I requested a refund and was told that Nexus would not be refunding my money. It would seem that pre-paying for a tour actually helps the tour company, since their staff have to deal with less cash when people pay for excursions while on the tour and pre-payment also gives them some idea as to the nu... read more
Do not book your trip with Nexus Holidays! They do not provide what they promise! Unresponsive. Unprofessional.
The key to this company is being educated in advance so you know what you are getting yourself into before you pay the fee. The good: This was a cheap trip but fabulous hotels that we could never have gotten for the same price. It allowed me and my friend to visit China for a fraction of the price. Do not book your trip with Nexus Holidays! They do not provide what they promise! The hotels were 2 star at best and you spend most of your time on a bus. You are not allowed to go back to the hotel if you don’t want to do the “Optional” tours (you have to wait on or near the bus until the rest of the group is finished). Most days are 12-14 hours long.
