Good bar food The Next Door Bar features the kind of menu you would expect at a bar. The quality, however, is perhaps better than you expect, especially when you see how small the kitchen is. Don't miss the beer battered onion rings! I did enjoy my lunch there, but I will make sure that the next time I am in Castle Rock, I will be there during dinner hours. Then I will go next door to the Next Door, and dine at their parent restaurant, the Castle Cafe. I want to try for myself their pan fried chicken. I am told it be popular... read more

This place is fun to go to. They have a very small, simple menu but the burgers and sandwiches are good. Their green chile is the best. Fun place to go and very reasonable prices.

Great, but inconsistent The first time we had dinner here we loved it! The homemade BBQ was the best we have ever had, but after that it didn't seem as nice. We tried to go again, but the kitchen was closed. It seems to be inconsistent with their hours or maybe their hours just aren't "normal" for the kitchen. I wouldn't go there for the bar scene, but the grub was good when we were able to order something.
