If I could leave zero stars, I would! This has to be the most incompetent medical practice I've ever been to and received care at! I took a pregnancy test the middle of November. It came up positive.I called new york presbyterian of the hudson valley to set up my first intake appointment after verifying with my insurance that they indeed were in network. Dr. Alvarez & her team are super professional. She explained the whole examination process in detail, made sure I felt comfortable, and had a very personable bedside manner. She made me feel very secure in choosing her as my GYN. The nurses were also very nice. I had a very good experience here.
I moved to the area when i was about 34 weeks pregnant once i got my referral in for them, they got me in with a quickness. I gave birth at NYP back in 2023. I had a wonderful experience with my OB appointments. The only thing I had an issue with was when I was in labor at NYP the nurse refused to give me any pain medication and said the epidural was the only option. After I had received that i had to have an emergency c section. Everything else went well. I am now pregnant with my second and will be going back to them.
I went here despite the bad reviews because I found Dr. McNamara online and she herself had great reviews, and I’m so glad I did. I loved Dr. Mcnamara and my experience here. I’ve hated going to the OBGYN in the past due to negative experiences, but everyone here from Dr. M to my nurse to the front desk was really kind and friendly. I had a great in person experience with the doctors and office after transferring from CR. The sonogram tech is amazing!! They were very attentive to my questions & concerns while letting me guide by own care as a 4th time mom. I highly recommend this office. I do wish they were easier to reach on the phone.
