Loved Dr. Alam and now love seeing Terry Alexander. Yes, it can be hard to get appointments. Yes, providers will bill insurance for each thing - that’s the business model these days. All that said, someone actually picks up the phone, office wait times are reasonable (I don’t think they double or triple book like some places - or at haven’t noticed, if they do) and the staff has all been excellent in my experience. Absolutely, mind-bogglingly horrible experience. It's almost as if New York Presbyterian is in the business of bad customer experience and PROFIT and zero to do with taking care of people's health. 1. They are short on primary care physicians 2. Our physician was booking 6+ months out for a physical, went on medical leave, our appointments were canceled with no way to then get our physical unless we switched doctors. I moved very close to this office and was initially excited on being connected with a great doctor, Dr. Alam. Unfortunately this office is extremely challenging to schedule and coordinate with. I only had one physical appointment here and was unable to make recurring appointments no matter how far in advance. They refuse to support any care without an in person visit which can be scheduled out 6+ months at a time. The phone operator support is inconsistent at best.
