An animal hospital visit's rarely cause for celebration, but this time it was. I awoke to nothing but blood coming out of my dog's backside (sorry TMI) with a storm approaching on a weekend. I rushed him to NVS, and Dr. Johnson carefully listened, asked a lot of questions and calmly talked me off the proverbial ledge. Had to take my dog in today for an emergency. He needs surgery. They saw i was struggling to find the money to pay them. Jillian and Ann were great and worked with me to figure out how to get the payment upfront. Very helpful in a stressfull time. The entire staff from the receptionist to the nurses, to the Dr's are very friendly they worry about you as well as your pet. Thank you for all your help to me and Forest!
At another clinic my cat was given a grave prognosis based on bloodwork. I needed an urgent ultrasound. Newtown was the only vet in CT that would guarantee my cat would be seen and given an ultrasound in a timely manner. They even got my cat’s records from the first vet. Even though the visit confirmed cancer, I will forever appreciate how kind and helpful they were. I can now confidently make the best decisions for my cat. If you are ever in a tight spot, call them. They will guide you.
Friendly compassionate staff throughout the facility. Efficient clean and a good experience. Definitely recommend for emergency vet services.
