Very impressed with the level of care for both animals and pet parents. The staff and lobby are welcoming and their compassion during emotionally stressful times is top notch. While not expecting to visit a few days in a row with different pets, every visit was transparent in pricing and included no pressure options with best and worst case scenarios for pricing. Newtown Veterinary Specialists handled our emergency with care and compassion from start to finish. All the staff were professional and caring, and did a thorough job evaluating our dog's illness and keeping us updated throughout the process. The initial wait time was fairly long after triage, but that was to be expected in an emergency room situation, and I would feel comfortable bringing our pets back here in an emergency. This establishment killed my cat, Lily. I brought her in with Congestive Heart Failure and wanted to put her to rest with love, comfort, dignity. Instead she was brought to the back for an iv, and during the brutal struggle to get the IV in (again CHF) with the employees she died of a heart attack. The facility has only made excuses for the treatment of Lily. Saying they ONLY use IV to put an animal to rest. I call BS. I've had several cats humanly put to rest without an iv. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!!

I cannot thank Dr.Little and Dr. Headrick enough for the great experience we had with them in regards to our puppy. on june 19th she was attacked by another larger dog at a board and train. the trainer then immediately took her to NVS where she was treated by Dr.Little who placed a wire in her bottom jaw. We traveled 45 minutes from New York to get the wire taken out today by Dr.Headrick and he was surprised on how well Dr.Little had placed the wire!
