Our puppy had a grass seed stuck in her eye that our home vet got out, but she was still in a lot of pain and our vet was unsure if another foreign object was in her eye and told us we needed to seek specialty care. NVS brought in a specialist on a Saturday to do an emergency examination of her eye. Our puppy is on her way to healing now and we’re so grateful for the compassionate and thorough care she received.

Doctors and support staff are first rate, but expect a big number for their services. Remember this is an emergency facility not a general veterinary practice.
Extraordinarily compassionate and thorough care--cat had quite a urinary blockage and they were swift to both unblock him and diagnose the root cause. Very honest as well and offered every possible treatment option with details of pros and cons, and they also seem pretty self-aware that emergency services as a general category are quite pricey and are therefore very willing to work with both you AND your regular vet where they can, particularly for things like surgery where logistics can be worked out between the two places.... read more
