After 3 years of chronic widespread pain that caused other health issues I left this practice. All incompetent. The practice owner is the only GP on the books, rest are locums. This owner is a really bad liar. Forgot doing a complaint because they never answer it, needed the health ombudsman to wake them up. I told them it's nerve pain 3 years ago and the owner referred me to orthopaedics despite my protests. 6 months later the orthopaedic doctor examined me and within seconds confirmed it's not a bone problem. To try get an appointment is ridiculous if you want to book one there's a eight week wait at the moment shouldn't have to wait that amount of time cause if you ring on the day they only give you 5 minutes it's a joke

If you care about your health, I recommend you do not register with this practice, I have had nothing but issues with Newtown Surgery. The GPs are incompetent, dismissive and lack any empathy or compassion. Despite them having a duty of care for their patients, they have repeatedly failed the level of care. It is impossible to get through to them to make a same day appointment as there is no queuing system in place, calling 100, 150 times for the phone to just be engaged and not place you into a queue is very distressing whe... read more

My Daughter had an urgent appointment at the Pysio she was told by the receptionist that her appointment was upstairs, she went upstairs and waited to to be called, only to be told "oh sorry your appointment is downstairs" she went back downstairs again only to be told "You're too late now, the physio won't see you". Would you have lost your cool In that situation? My daughter did, and they had the cheek to call the security! Sheer incompetence by the receptionist!
