Conditions in building are deplorable. Disgusting. Seeious disrepair, units aren't up to habitable condition. State needs to intervene.
Moved here 2017…. Pic of this building is old. No rot iron stairway,.just cinder blocks now. The building still has that steeple the birds love it up there. At least the old fashioned park bench remains as a welcoming spot to sit down and rest awhile. Yearly the irises and lillie of the valley mark our front door and if you look real close a cluster of sweet smelling grape hyacine circle the front tree.. if it wasn't for our surrounding gardens..this would be just an old forgotten school building. Been here for a few years now, very disapponted. Gave up a larger apartment up North. If you read their mission statement it all sounds very noble..pity it isn't true. Repairs take forever,3 years for a broken refrig to be replaced .if this is a place for Mom..someone has a warped sense of humor. This year we have an over abundance of rodents running all over place in broad daylight...the excuse is that it's cold out there.Same thing happened a few years ago, wasn't cold then . I moved back into this area for reasons that don't even matter anymore. The original building was a school house ,many changes since then. It's called Capitol improvements..not all good..doors or windows are blocked off or nailed close..sometimes just painted over like they never existed., our new executive director has had new flooring in our hallway. Been here since 2017. Has been a culture shock. Who would believe a place like this exist? I do have some wonderful neighbors but some should be either in jail or a mental ward. Violence against women is swept under the rug, along with the state & federal laws regarding smoking. Now we are over run with rodents. I can't say I've ever seen so many. I know God said be fruitful and multiple but wasn't He referring to humans? Setting more traps isnot a solution. Find the source.. and maybe find out why these critters like living... read more
