Awesome people and a great club
Newport Yacht Club, situated by the river with its office overlooking the water, is a truly spacious and charming location. The building itself is a sight to behold, radiating a sense of elegance and nautical heritage. While it's true that there isn't a parking lot nearby, the short walk is absolutely worth it. In fact, it adds to the experience, allowing you to appreciate the scenic surroundings even more. This area is perfect for leisurely strolls, and you'll find delightful walking paths nearby. Best club in the bay. This is not a club who have airs/graces/arrogance about racing. This is a club who enjoy sailing with other people. They are a very friendly club and I would say that they are one of the friendliest in the bay. If you want to get into sailing, they are the one. And if you want to talk to other people about getting better on your boat, there's plenty of people with lots of experience. A really good time to be had here.
We are yet to go to the NCYC However, if they are similar to the most wonderful people we've met thus far at our berth in Newport Marina I simply can't wait 😊
