These people systematically push you out of their office when you have Medi-Cal CalOptima insurance. They made me an appointment that took two months, then asked me for $120 for an eye exam despite having insurance. Even when they asked for my driver's license and questioned why it was expired, I explained it was being renewed by the DMV, but they made another excuse. They were not only rude but also very racist, so I strongly advise keeping your distance from this place
My daughter went to this eye doctor for two different annual check-ups, and they are not only incredibly rude, but they clearly do not care about their patients' eye health. She was told last year that she had a vision-threatening condition, and then immediately went to an ophthalmologist who told her she was fine. This past week she went back to Dr. Bold for her second annual routine eye check, and was again told she had a very serious condition and might lose her vision.
