Loved the Steamed Clams on Linguine I enjoyed the meal a lot. This is the only place I have found that has steamed clams. The prices are a little high but I found the food different than all the rest of the seafood restaurants.

Newport Bay Restaurant We often have lunch here. We like its clam chowder, fisherman's stew and crab salad. Dinners are good, too. Service is excellent, parking is adequate.

Good seafood here I love the clam chowder here and it is fun to come for the happy hour specials. The lines are long at times best to beat the lunch and dinner rush go a little early or late.

Portions are Shrinking/Restaurant Needs New Management – I have visited this restaurant twice in the last three weeks. The first time, the service was HORRENDOUS. We had been sitting for a good 15 minutes before our waitress noticed we had finished our meals. good food most of the time This Newport Bay used to have consistently good food, but the last few times it has been average. Their selection of fresh seafood is nice and they offer a good selection of sides to go with your meal.

Not Good – We ate at this restaurant after some serious recommends from local friends. I was less than impressed. The food was low quality. I did not eat at this specific restaurant, but I cannot remember the exact address of the one I ate at. The Newport Bay, in my Opinion, was a sit down fast food restaurant. That is about the quality of food we got. The service was average, though the waitress could not answer many menu questions. I would not personally eat here again, or at any of them for that matter.

great happy hour – Both times that my girlfriend and I have dined at Newport Bay we were seated very quickly. We ate in the dining room once and in the bar once. Service was excellent both times. The happy hour menu is relatively cheap and has many choices. Awesome chowder! Great salads and other apps to choose from. I would suggest Newport Bay to anyone. The regular menu entrees are also excellent.

AVOID! Food contained ingredients we told them we could not eat - like bacon in clam chowder..! – This was a disaster, my first wedding anniversary dinner and what a mess they made of it! It began with my asking about the butter which came with the bread at the outset of the meal - I asked for plain butter, telling them I cannot tolerate garlic. Great Happy Hour Food & Prices – I only go to Newport Bay during Happy Hour and either I get the chicken tenders or the cheeseburger. They are delicious, and Newport Bay has the best happy hour in the Hillsboro area (not that there is much to choose from), for the food and the price. It gets really crowded sometimes though and you have to wait for a booth, and people can be really rude and steal your booth.
