As of 2024 and into 2025, Newmil is one of the best Superyacht paint contractors in the US. This isn’t a paid comment or anything like that. In fact, quite the opposite. I have inspected / surveyed Newmil Marine’s paint jobs on numerous occasions, and can confirm they are the most consistent, and have yielded the highest averages for Gloss-60, RIQ (Reflective Image Quality), Haze, & RSpec. This is the honest to God truth. If you want a great paint job for your Superyacht, contact Newmil, you will be glad that you did.
Highly recommend Newmil Marine. We just got done with some large areas of gloss top coat and non skid on board. Joe and his team are extremely professional, reliable and are very knowledgeable when it comes to their expertise (paint and varnish.) Newmil Marine and Sauer Van Den Berg has been our paint contractor for several years now. Our experience is that Sauer and his team are thorough in protecting work areas and are very flexible in working around other contractors. They are assessing areas to be painted with a keen eye in order to remove any corrosion or blisters. This procedure is well documented with supporting pictures.
