Around 20 years ago (maybe more?), my wife had her 1986 Suzuki Samurai repaired at Jay's; Today, we heard the news about a fire in Santa Clarita which led to me looking up Newhall Carburetor; Jay's shop stilll repairs automobiles there and I relayed that to my wife. She said, "He wouldn't still be there if he wasn't any good at what he does -- a flash in the pan would be gone" -- I agree. I have been taking my vehicles to Newhall Carburetor (Tallent Auto Repair) for over 20 years. Jay is an honest mechanic and his prices are fair. I highly recommend taking any of your vehicles here for repair.

This does not even deserve a 1 star but because it is needed to post, I guess. I called Newhall Carburetor to get a quote and the person on the other end of the telephone told me that he does not do quotes over the phone and stated that "we're" too good for that. I was price comparing for certain part for car and he said they most likely wouldn't be able to give a better price. He said this without even knowing what I was going to request. I felt that was very unprofessional and it was terrible customer service.
