I've found the Newel team to be nothing but professional, honest, responsive, and super easy to work with. I've won multiple lots from them via their online auctions, and have had no issues checking out or picking up my items in person. Additionally, they are very responsive to e-mails and calls, which is not something I can say about a lot of auction houses. Looking forward to continuing to do business with them in the future.
Newel Auction house and Gallery in Long Island City is an amazing place! I won a set of wooden Hearse hand carved Curtains and it was quite an experience when we went to pick them up. We were greeted by the CEO Jake Baer and he treated us like family, allowing us to walk through a very large assortment of antiques and fine art slated for upcoming auctions or for purchase. Was difficult to work with during my time utilizing them assisting with clearing my extended families estate.
The staff was very helpful and professional. The items were accurately described and well photographed. I was able to park right out front with metered parking.
