I want to thank the Deoartment for their help this morning. I left my home in Windy Ridge Road to go to work at St Luke’s Hospital at 6:15am. My car slid off the road into a neighbors yard I was stuck so bad. I called and they offered to call a tow with the police but after shoveling the snow with my hands and rocking back and forth I got out but still was not able to drive because of the icy conditions. My husband and I wanted to take the time out to give a 5 star review to the Town of Newburgh Highway Department. On Sunday morning after that heavy snow the driver that plowed Gala Drive was top notch! In my 23 years of living on the street, I have never had such a polite and courteous member care enough about the residents not plow them in after my husband was out plowing all morning.
