Disappointing experience at New You Salon. Charged $80 for $60 service, citing "excessive hair" without justification since my hair has been the same ever since I started coming to this salon. Inconsistent pricing and lack of transparency. Not recommended.

Went for the first time today and will be going back! Ryan was very meticulous with every step of the process, from the shampoo and the cut to the blowdry. I've always had a simple trim so wasn't expecting much but Ryan was by far the most detailed hairstylist I've come across so far in Berkeley/Albany with more reasonable pricings than other places given the service. I also liked the bright, clean atmosphere of the salon and it was quiet and calm.

Ryan did an excellent job as usual. He has been doing my haircut for years even before he opened his own saloon. Highly recommended!

First time customer and I loved my haircut experience with Ryan! I felt like he was very skilled - both attentive and efficient. He was communicative and asked needed questions to get a good understanding of how I wanted my hair cut. I was also pleasantly surprised at how soft and sleek my hair felt afterwards from the blow dry job. Really great value and still affordable!
