This is how we've been forced to live, completely inhumane, since NYSEG took our water meter & refuse to give it back, with a daughter on a FEEDING tube and no notice. It"s been over 30 days, 98 degrees weather, since July 25th! I am tempted to file a lawsuit!!
Nyseg needs to be shut down
State mandated monopoly - NYSEG will probably comment below with some corporate nonsense. But the fact is that NYSEG has been raising prices on power substantially year over year, and we have literally no other choice but to pay them. This is by design, and we have little to no recourse. I don't understand how this utility company can get away with providing such subpar service and zero transparency. Our bill increased by 900% between June and July as a result of their "Budget Billing". Their claim is cold months' higher usage, which is totally BS since we primarily heat with propane and wood. And to add insult to injury, we have outages every few weeks. Glad to see Riley is launching a formal investigation. Let's hope it results in holding these criminals accountable.
I am giving this company one star as I literally cannot give it a worse score. The customer service is absolutely awful. The outage time estimations are never even close. The rates are ridiculous and constantly climbing. There's nothing positive i can say about this company as despite its premium price, blackouts will still be a regular occurrence. Edit for response.
