While in Manhattan, Dr. Alan Dechiario was my primary care doctor for nearly a decade. He is excellent and I have not found another primary care doctor that measures up to his level of quality health care.
Dr. Alan Dechiario was recommended to me by the Chair of the Urology Dept. at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, who I hold in high regard. My wife and I needed a doctor of internal medicine, since ours had retired. The examinations were incredibly thorough. His demeanor was very calming and kind and dedicated to his patients. He is clearly the best internist I have ever had. He surrounds himself with the best of the best and will rely on him for recommendations to specialists. Glad to know doctors like him still exist. Dr. Dechiario is wonderful. He treats his patients as if they are special. I felt so comfortable with him. He listens and makes sure you are taken care of in many ways. I think he is one of the nicest doctors I have had in years.

Dr D is one in a million. He has been my primary care doctor for approximately 15 years since I moved back to New York. I have high expectations for service providers and he easily gets "5 stars." He has a very current and detailed understanding of medical issues, and communicates them in a patient and compassionate manner - he truly cares about the work he does.
