Smells of money ,but the people were surprising kind and caring, all that wealth and the couldn't offer a cup of coffee , or sandwich the service was top notch nonetheless.
New York Life makes it extremely difficult to cancel a policy. I keep receiving marketing materials from them even after calling several times to ask them to stop. They also never confirm that the account has been closed, even though an agent from this office confirmed that a surrender letter was sent. There seems to be a clear lack of communication between corporate and the agents.
Give significant thought prior to accepting any employment offers from New York Life's regional office in Glendale. If you're young, ambitious, and have a large network of friends and family they provided an opportunity to create income by selling life insurance policies, annuities, and other investment products.
