Ive had policies with ** for over a decade . However, in the past 6 years I have seen this company turn absolutely horrible . I wont even bother going into most of my issues. Instead I will stick with the purely financial issues. My husband and I started a policy for him. His rate came up high after examination (due to stress ,covid, my pregnancy) I had to be at the hospital three times a week because I had pregnancy complications. My company switched to them and it's been a nightmare after I developed Long-COVID in 02/2021. Constantly asking my providers or additional information, constantly stating they didn't receiving information from providers, constantly stating they sent out requests to providers, but my providers insisted they never got anything even though my providers never had a provider getting information from other providers. ************ wouldn't return phone calls to me, but would to my manager. I had been working with my company over over 4 years. We has short term, that got sold out to NY and I never used either until I have a pregnancy with lots of complications. They fought me everytime I needed anything. And actually denied me and had to appeal it many times! When I did finally get a check it bounced and my account was negative! Then sense it was a Friday in the afternoon I could do anything or contact anyone who could handle this problem! Any idea how hard it is to have a newborn and a negative bank account?! ... read more

They are completely unresponsive. I have tried to contact my agent or any agent for about 6 months. I am about to call my bank and stop my life insurance payments from the auto deduct to them. I call the customer service phone number and they tell me someone will call me and they never do. They say there is nothing they can help with they just answer the phone. The satellite office and the agent I am assigned to don't even have voice messaging on their phone number. It is all very strange. Im starting to think they are colle... read more

My wife called them just to change an address & phone number. They wanted to charge to do that!! I've never heard of this but it sounds fishy to me.

Would leave zero stars if possible. My recently deceased Mother had a policy with this garbage company. We notified them within 2 days. It's been nearly 6 weeks and they have not sent my check. They use regular mail, just a stamp, no return receipt, no tracking number. They are in FLORIDA but their company name is NEW YORK LIFE. They refuse to send a new check by ***** or 2 day Priority mail even when I offered to pay the postage. Terrible people don't give them your business!

This Company denies everything. We are getting an attorney because of their constant denials. I would never purchase anything from them again.

Short-Term Disability Claims - needing assistance while struggling with depression - you will have to be mentally insane completely for them to cover it! They will request documentation over and over again that they already have just to prolong the denial. If you aren’t mentally insane, they will not pay short term disability.
