Dirty Club, Poorly Maintained – I have been a member of NYHRC for 4 months but I will be canceling my membership as soon as I can. In general their clubs are not well maintained and it seems as if they don't even utilize professional cleaning crews or services. The 13th St. location in particular is dirty, dusty, the bathrooms smell bad, the machines are rarely wiped down or even dusted. disappointed - old looking and unclean... – My boyfriend and I went to check out the 13th street gym recently - because we were thinking of joining a gym. We liked the concept of NYHRC with the pools and the locations seemed convenient. I was quite disappointed by the locker rooms - very small/narrow and thank goodness I brought flip-flops, the floor was pretty dirty.
