I just got back from donating blood and once again I thought I have to find another place. Upon entering I was greeted with a big hello, that was the end of any friendly interaction. Once I completed the questionnaire and was processed I had very little interaction with the technician, even though I tried to engage. My questions were responded to with yes and no answers. Everything went pretty quick considering first come, first serve. However, I made an appointment but every time I make an appointment it’s not honored. When there is a person when you walk in they don’t ask you if you have one. There is no sheet showing appointments. They just tell you to sit down and first come, first serve. Don’t take appointments over phone or internet if your not got going to honor. One volunteer said they don’t take appointments. I think they just take just so you’re more likely to go.

A great place to donate staff are always kind and friendly. Easy place in town to access everyone should donate if you can! NY blood center is awesome!
